The University Honors and Leadership (UHL) program is a university-wide undergraduate honors program that allows students of exceptional abilities to unleash their full potential through a unique combination of a traditional academic honors program and an honors program in leadership studies.

The UHL program offers exceptional, highly motivated students many of the benefits of a small liberal arts college along with the opportunities available at a major research university. Our small class sizes and the close relationships that can be formed with professors and fellow students provide a stimulating intellectual environment that nurtures excellence. The interdisciplinary UHL curriculum, taught by some of the University’s best faculty members, rewards intellectual curiosity, challenges you to expand your horizons, and promotes life-long learning. UHL also takes you beyond the classroom, through opportunities to engage in research projects side-by-side with UC Denver faculty, to study abroad with fellow UHL students, and to participate in leadership-development activities with like-minded students from other universities.

Take a look at the Maymester page for our UHL Maymester program, Ireland in Context. On this page, you can read some quick facts about the course and explore information about costs and scholarships, course itinerary, and the application process. The good folks in the Global Education/Study Abroad division of the CU Denver Office of International Affairs can answer questions you may have about the Maymester application process and help you get started!
